1990: 2 tolarja from Slovenia.   Apparently, the first two digits of the serial number indicate the year these notes were made, with 90 being 1990.

  Joseph, in 1990 when Slovenia declared independence they didn't have any banknote paper and so the first issue used the security paper left over from the 1984 Olympics.

1989 - Germany P-38a 10 Marks This note was obtained in West Germany back in the 1990s. It features Carl Friedrich Gauss one the greatest Mathematicians of all time.
