Quote: Another recent acquisition. 1999-Germany, Proof coin commemorating the introduction of the Euro. 35.1 mm, / .999 pure silver with 24K plating. I like it! It has a lot going on.

1992 USA Olympic Baseball Unc Silver Dollar from the Twilight Zone So I'm on another thread here about baseball players signing slab labels for the HOF commemorative coins a couple hours ago. I go looking in a bunch of baseball stuff in the basement I have for a Cal Ripken autograph to share a pi of on the other thread and find this coin in with some of my better baseball cards. No Ripken auto found ... yet. I bet I put it there 15 years ago. My father gave it to me and told me a story and showed me an article debating if it was a rip off image of Nolan Ryans baseball card image that was used as a model for the coin. Over the years, I thought I must have traded it or sold it, feeling guilty because it was a gift. I thought maybe I lost it ( which I actually did ) and tonight I found it. What is even more weird, still looking for the autograph, in a completely different place, I find this certificate that must belong with it where it says some of the proceeds for selling these coins goes toward the USA Olympic team and it has an autograph of Jonathan Frazer who I have found out was a staff sergeant in the US Army on the Olympic shooting team. Don't know anything else about him tho. Is that weird or what? The coin has not toned or spotted and I am very glad to have found it.
