So I found my old folde from 5-6 years ago it had some wheat pennies, Buffalo nickels, a Morgan and a Mexican silver coin. Also had this in there

Is it anything special besides the fact is gold plated?

Since it is already altered (plating), I assume that the reeding on the edge was removed.

So, it's really just a novelty and/or expirement and has no added value.

Why this was done, who knows...
