Dollarman- Glad to see you are able to participate this time. Looking forward to seeing some of your gems. Hard to compete with some of those 35's but here is one of mine. It is a SWL with the WL at the rear being almost non existant.

Now in a cert as ms64, I'm not a huge dollar guy, but this is one of a few I have been able to cherry pick :)

This one's not as nice as the gems that have already been shown but it's interesting that it has two Zoell varieties on the same coin. Zoell had only referred to these varieties on separate coins to my knowledge. Cheers, Bill

The 1935 voyageur dollar is truly the iconic Canadian coin. Like the glow-in-the-dark toonies of today it was intended to be kept as a souvenir and not circulate thus improving the Mint's bottom line. There was a glut of silver at the mint at the time and a lot could be eaten up by producing a coin that would never really circulate and thus never become worn enough to require recycling and re-enter the mint's pile of silver. The '35 dollars were never bagged but carefully handled and shipped in tubes, that is why MS65's are, thankfully, as common as dirt. I've posted this one before, can't get better pics so you'll just have to imagine the gorgeous golden tone.

wow DBM that's quite an attractive piece! the strike on the canoe is excellent as well! if it's as clean as it appears, I don't see why it wouldn't get an MS-66 grade or maybe even a 66+ at PCGS..
