Amazing examples above and how do those colours come to be ? Liberated this 38 from the same pill jar as the others .. ..those frosty surfaces take a quick beating when in contact with "anything".. Finding the perfect 38 is very elusive.. Maybe we'll get to see some here ?

1938 ICCS graded. Don't think PCGS would grade it because of colour.

@DEVLEC
I didn't add any colour. I bought all these coins already toned. I like toned coins and mostly collect them in high-grade.
Most of them are natural toning but a few of them are borderline and may have been helped in the toning process.
I don't touch, alter or tones any coins. Not even dipping.
I have a lot of 1971-1972-1973 dollar with crazy toning that was created because the velvet contain sulfur which increase the oxydation (toning) colour and they are all naturals.

time for 1939s... here's a nice unc with a heavy cameo..the fields are completely mirrored. great coin in hand. ICCS called it a cameo but it is closer to UHC....might've gotten HC or UHC easily if it the mirrored surfaces didn't show every tiny mark. sorry for the lousy pics..she's a stunner in hand..

Hugues: If at all possible could you post a photo of the 1939 PCGS 65 dollar that you sold in your Nov. 2016 sale. Thank you
