Enjoy!

I, too, like holding a bit of history. I appreciate the beautiful barely circulated old coins, but there's something about being able to hold an old coin that's special.

Its a decent AG-03/G-4 at an AG-03 price. I agree its a B-14, the dotted date. Nice pickup.

No reason to be ashamed, classic Fr2/PO1 but enough detail left to be positive on the ID (lots of otherwise PO1s fail because you can't PROVE the date).

Thanks all!

I saw this in the dealer's case, and I thought I misread the price of $375, thinking it was possibly $875. I pulled out my coin to trade, and the dealer instantly accepted it, saying the dollar had been in his case for quite a while.

Deadstock so long that it still had the 1995 price....

I passed up a raw 1800 in G for $900 a couple months ago. Bust dollars are expensive.

Here's a 1799 that I bought at the FUN Show in 2016 for $450. I've not as yet been able to attribute the counterstamp, F. DYER, whom I suspect was an early toolmaker. I don't know the variety. I grade it "G-4 details" and, like the 1800, thought it to be a good value at that price; this, despite the damage.

1867 Nickel with rays, PCGS MS-62. It had a crappy strike, so I valued it at around $300-350.
