Good looking coin,need to handle it with glove to avoid oil from hands and finger prints, I think if you showed it to your wife it would get you in trouble, first thing mine would ask is: oh ,what did it cost us?
Thanks, it weighs out correctly, and I already had it checked out, it's all good. Only my third gold coin in my collection. I'll try and dig out my others later to share. I've never shown them before, one of them is a rare mint.
Eagles are my favorites. Not too big, not too small, but hefty compared to a silver half. The first US gold coin spendy enough not to carry a collector premium. And most dates are scarce, though not the 1893.

I dug out my only other gold coins, forgot about a couple of modern ones that I had. That took me forever for some reason to optimize the pictures? I'm going to post the modern gold at another time, I have to go watch poker.
