I don't like the toning on it either and I looked for two years before I purchased mine.
And that seller has a horrible reputation.

The MS great eye appeal 1936 D Washingtons are much harder to find than you would think.

I agree, toning is not the best.

The reason this sucker caught my eye is because I'm in the market for a 36D & 32D to complete my set. I'm going with slabbed for these as well. I'm tracking these guys:

Yeah ,I don't like that blotchy black toning either . Be happy you didn't go for it . My 36-D is a nice raw no problem EF-45 ,and I couldn't be more happy having it in my collection .

That MS66 is a great looking coin. Much better value than that initial GSC offering. Even photo enhancement can't put lipstick on that pig....
