I got this from someone in Texas, who couldn't tell me anything about where it came from. It's got the overall shape and appearance of a pressed wax seal, and yet it's metal. The crude eagle/snake picture suggests Mexico, but beyond that, I can't guess anything.

@nautilator, you mention that it is metal and it looks copper colored in your pics. Could it be lead or is it a copper alloy?

It doesn't have the heft to be lead. My guess would be copper. It weighs 2.0 g.

(Also, I don't think it's a button because there are no holes on it.)
