I meant 1869, that must have been a typo...

I thought the denominations were going up in increments based on the pattern I saw. Not to worry jbuck, this is a good idea in my book!

I located some coins in my collection with the same date, but we have to move a bit further into the future for that.

I agree. I enjoy challenges where you have to post two coins that are somehow related but I think they tend to have less participation.

Sorry for the longer wait, thanksgiving and work today...

Here is my idea:

Post a coin with the smallest, hardest to see 4-numbered date on it. That is it, simple... Size/composition of the coin are not factors again.
Guatemala 1880 1/2 Real:

I know there are many great examples of dinky dated coins out there, the smallest one wins! You can post more than one coin if you think you find a better example.

Since this is my round, Dorado and Princetane can both play if they want to...

I can go with this for a few days...

Spanish coins have infamously tiny dates IIRC. Unfortunately I don't have any pics.

This seems to be the dinkiest legible date from my CCF pic collection...
