It has been three days. Numis Ed is the winner! He can host the next round or defer to J1M if he is ready.

I think I got something.
Post a coin AND medal with the same theme. Heads of state (e.g., the effigy of Elizabeth II) do not count. Points are given according to the difference between the years of minting of the coin and medal. For instance, if the coin was minted in 1900 and the medal in 1910, you get 10 points (1910 - 1900). If either the coin or medal is gold, you get 50 bonus points.

I start with the theme: "Sydney Opera House".

Points: 1997 - 1973 = 24.

(P.S. I replaced my previous Sydney Opera Medal with a much better specimen. Didn't photograph it yet though).

Not sure if this counts. Reclining Mercury on a French jeton and a 1929 French token. The jeton, although dated 1831, is probably an 1880 restrike. If these entries are allowed, I will only claim 49 points.

No medals (or at least no photographed medals) in my collection AFAICT, so, go fish, I guess?

(The previous idea is on pause because I found a coin that would be an even better example entry but it requires some turnover to qualify. If I somehow win after this happens I'll use it, I guess.)

This might be the best I can do. There is no issue date on the medal, but if you accept the date of issue confirmed by being from a dated set, then we have this pair...
