Looking for help and information on this variety? I picked this coin up at the Paris Coin Show. The coin has a nice D/C through the N of Canada. Does anyone else have this variety?

As we have previously discussed, I have 5 ... all with the D/C. I went through my stuff here, and found 2 without the D/C, but it is (I think) from a different die.

I recently found one of those Strach-Man. I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but when I do, I will post it for you. Yours is in very nice condition. I think that is one of the neatest repunched N's, and it seems to be scarce. Here are the photos:

Here are 2 more you can add to your count Strach-Man. I don't believe that they are that scarce Here is another interesting one to look for in the 1882's. D/P D or T/P D in Canada or whatever you want to call it?

coins for fun ... Yes, your last one is from a different die and is like the other 2 that I mentioned above. I think that the one with the D/C is fairly scarce .. my 5 that I have came from about 400-500 1882's that I had/have, most just bought as many lots/coin show bins and not for any D/P'ing. The 2 without the D/C from the same piles that I have, bo I would rate that one a scarce, not fairly scarce. I love the '81's and '82's for the myriad of anomalies found... kept me busy for years (oh, right, decades)

As far as scarcity goes....1:100 1882s sounds about right...
Not common...but not as scarce as the 1882 double die

Nice pickup. Also in a very nice grade and it's not all beat up looking either. Great coin to own.
Errers and Varietys.
