Die gouge from the right of the the second L of Monticello down to the S in Cents.

Any one have the same 1991p nickel with this die gouge?

Thanks AMAC. It is a nice looking coin -even without the crack/gouge.

Please clarify for me when its a crack versus a gouge, as I keep on making the same mistakes on the coins I list that I think are gouges etc,

I thought this was a gouge as it looks very similar to the die gouge on the reverse of my 1921 Morgan VAM3H- die gouge thru Olive Branch-

How do you tell the difference?

Mr Diamond from Coneca also checked this coin out for me- He stated this is DEFINETLEY NOT a die crack.
"It is either a die gouge or a narrow die dent- a crack will seldom begin & end in the field and it will follow at least a slightly jagged path"

I'm going with my original post on this- its a die gouge, as it does not fit the explanation of a die crack.
