I'm quite inclined to buy this ancient. All the info that the seller gives is "CONSTANS 337-350 AD Æ" These are the sellers pictures and I can't get any higher quality ones.

RCB,

Check Wildwinds. That's usually my go-to site.

It's an okay coin if it's a 50 cent junk bin piece. I wouldn't pay any more than that--it's a very common issue that has been cleaned too aggressively; not much eye appeal left.

Siscia mint - RIC 185

VICTORIAE DD AVGGQ NN reverse type

Mint mark dot ESIS dot

I agree with Finn. I saw the listing for this coin. BIN plus ship = $5 not the best value but on the flip side you get a genuine ancient coin that is nearly 1700 years old for the price of 2 scoops of ice cream at Baskin-Robbins
Rest in Peace

Inexpensive? Yes.
Desirable? Not so much.

Righty, so I won't buy it for the $8 they were asking.

I didn't mean any offense by my comment; I got burned a few times when I fist started in ancients and want to make sure other newcomers are making informed choices they won't regret in a few months. You can get bulk lots of coins just like that one for less than $0.75 per coin. Shoot me a PM - I am working on clearing out the "fluff" in my collection and have a few you might like better.
