I'm sure most members/readers are familiar with the one ounce silver bullion series that began in 2011 with the Timber Wolf $5 and ended with the 2016 Peregrine Falcon.
Subsequent 'premium' versions were also issued for some of the designs (see pages 523 and 526 in the 2017 Volume 2 Charlton Guide.
As a collector of these pieces, imagine my shock at seeing the 2014 Bald Eagle reissued in reverse proof and dated 2017 during a recent visit to Colonial Acres.

I'm considering selling the original and adding the 2017 to my collection instead as this finish seems less prone to milk spotting.
I emailed the artist to see if she was aware and inquire if this was a one off piece or whether the other three in this mini set were being redone as well. Hopefully she may be able to shed some light on this or if she's not permitted to say, someone on this forum might have insight to this unexpected new release.
Has the
RCM run out of ideas and is now resulting to mass producing previous NCLT issues hoping to cash on new collectors unaware that they are buying a reproduction of the original?

I know that it's not unusual for a popular design to be modified or even reissued in a different format, finish and size but there is something about this that doesn't seem to sit right with me.
