Just acquired my first Crown coin (5 shillings). I have always wanted one! Here's the sale photo. Will upload actual photos when it arrives.

Thanks! I really do love large silver coins from this period and it has been an aspiration of mine for many years to get a hold of a crown. Now I have a half crown and crown from the same year and am trying to establish a full set of George II denominations. I have a halfpenny, sixpence, shilling, half crown, crown, and guinea so far plus 2 out of the 4 coins of the Maundy set of 1739.

That's a beauty! I didn't realize that British coins used to be coin orientation.

Not sure if this would be in my budget #9785;#65039;
EMC - any photos assuming you've received it by now?

(I just love the lion's face on the shoulder of George II)

EMC's coin is clearly better than those graded Good Fine in the London Coins online auction records.
Very Fine for me.
