As far as I'm concerned there is way to little information offered to make anything but a hand grenade guess. Are the Kennedy's Silver? Are the Wheaties all from the 50's? Are there readable dates? How much is damaged? 7000 Canadian pennies? The variables are so huge that silver melt minus at least 15-20%( I always wonder about folks who get"melt" for their silver? Everyone along the line to the smelter gets a piece of the action!)
Finally, what do you plan to do with the coins? Flip, save. cull and sell? My guess is I have no idea other than as others have suggested a possibly insulting low ball offer. Lastly and most importantly is do you have a past relationship with coins with this person? That means a whole lot when trying to come up with a guesstimate offer. Mike
