Can't Find Designer's Initials - Coin Community Forum

pyrbob Rest in Peace United States 1943 Posts	Posted 05/07/2008 05:59 am Both obverse and reverse were designed by Victor D Brenner. His initials are on the obverse on the Lincoln bust at the very bottom. They are on the angled part just as the bust ends on the bottom. You might have to angle the coin a little because as the bust ends it angles back toward the field. If you have an unc newer cent look at it first to see the initials because the VDB has been there since 1918. The memorial reverse was designed by Frank Gasparro so the Memorial cent has designers initials on both sides. See if you can find it. If you can't I'll try to give a better description.
