I am no pro but have a question. Photo 3 shows a lighter color around the mint mark, like maybe glue residue? The one time I hope I am wrong

I questioned this at first, years ago, but it is so common on confirmed examples that I'm left thinking it's a form of Die Deterioration.

Is it just the pics, or is the obverse much lighter and mottled than the reverse?

Right, but how about the contrasts between the obverse and reverse colors?

Also is the obverse much more worn than the reverse?

Might want to submit this to PCGS or NGC to get an expert opinion.

Nice coin ... I would submit to NGC, just because NGC is my choice for
better coins. Otherwise I use ANACS.

I think this coin would do well to have a treatment with Verdi-care.

I have seen coins that have spent a long time in a folder, have different
look from obverse to reverse. This one is giving me that feeling.

Either way, if bought at right price ... looks like a good purchase.
