Hflirn Pillar of the Community United States 586 Posts	Posted 11/18/2017 01:52 am I am going to agree with Mark. There are a few things to observe on the 09 Matte. One is that there are a few distinct die markers. One is on the rim for several matte proofs. Second, the chance of a matte proof cent going into circulation in that time period is not an impossibility. Lastly, under magnification, a matte die is sandblasted. This would leave MANY dot like "imperfections" on the face of the coin. Matte Proofs are interesting because people are so unfamiliar with them. Report this Post to the Staff
