This coin doesn't look right to me the lettering seems off. Sorry, but it doesn't look genuine to me.

The coin does not look like an ancient struck coin. I wouldn't touch it.

The portrait seems normal but the lettering does show some peculiar style.
Triangular punch marks seem to have been used to make the letters. The letter V in Augustus also looks smaller than the rest.
The S in COS looks like a backwards Z.
It is not unknown for detectorists to be conned by people "salting" the ground with a few fakes.
Without an up close and personal examination it is impossible to determine.
That said .....
If it is real (questionable) it might fetch $100 or more from a dealer

the coin a post here seems similar to this one in the moon side. for me it is 99% legit, I am aware of reports from people "digging" up fake coins and selling them has real coins.

The coin looks off to me as well. It has a "soapy" appearance likely due to casting, and the lettering is unlike any I've seen on similar coins. I'd pass.

Many of us have been collecting ancients for decades. We've seen tens if not hundreds of thousands of coins.
But it is very difficult to judge authenticity by pictures alone, and I'm sure I have passed on a genuine coin which I mistakenly thought was fake.

The best way to avoid fakes is to purchase from a seller who handles ancients and guarantees authenticity.
Does the seller guarantee authenticity unconditionally? If not, walk away. You can find another coin from a seller who will.

Check Vcoins.com. Here are a few similar coins for sale by sellers who guarantee authenticity. https://www.vcoins.com/en/Search.as...signed=False
