Quote: Its a nice little coin. If it's a genuine 1906 Sovereign, then yeah!

Spent the last two hours trying to work out my Micro 4/3 Camera, tripod, lenses and macro extensions to put together something to take a decent pic. Having some luck. (Table made out of a street sign not good for taking photos) Not saying tomorrow will be Ansel Adams but should be significantly improved. The French phone token is neat. The 2 Pfennige is great too. Try to get back to the Morgan and Peace dollars with hopefully useful pics. Will bring Some Walkers back this weekend.

Those came out dark..... found a nice barber nickel but the reverse is trashed. Why is that last Morgan Cleaned? The Capped Bust is no doubt, saw that when I knew even less. Have a good few in similar condition. How do you tell? I know some of the signs. Took some new pics of the Morgans in Question. Post in a bit.

Quote: Why is that last Morgan Cleaned? The Morgan is showing hairlines scratches from cleaning on both side of the coin. On the reverse note the hairlines below the right side of eagles wing and around the star. The eagles breast and luster around letters look much like a MS coin. Note the rub above the eagles head that rub did not happen from normal circulation.

It was common in the 1960's and 1970's to clean coins. I cleaned my share of Morgans in the 70's because I wanted coins to looked shinny and new.
What are you using for lighting when you take the photos as those last photos were a little too dark?

Cloudy day on the 4th floor NYC. I'm Working on it,I actually make lighting, have light pieces all over but no actual lamps?! Hate lamps. Is that V Barber Nickel shot? Such a shame, Looks like it had corrosive dropped on it. I like the dark 88 O, I think it looks great. IDK. WOW! Really Don't have that much more here, TY The remaining are in either 'meh' shape or shot completely.
