Anyone successfully redeem a $200 for $200 recently? My local BMO first said they would do it for a fee. Then changed their mind and said no BMO will.

If you were successful with that coin or another $X for $X, where did you go?

Thank you!

I heard that the mint will give back the money they said the coin was worth , I am not sure where banks come in , although you would think thy would be on the same page.

Absolutely no Problems at our TD Branch or Royal Bank Branch here in BC. The RCM Mint issued ALL of the Chartered Banks a Memo on how to redeem face value XX/XX COINS a few years back.

Last I checked about a year ago, none of the TD branches I frequent accept them.

Depends on the Bank's staff, how they acknowledged and willing to help.
I deposited mine 200for200 (1 coin) in my TD, year and half ago.

I deposited nearly every $x for $x that came out at a TD bank, on several occasions
