This 8 escudos is from the wreck of the Nuestra Seņora de la Luz which sank on the Rio de la Plata ca. 1752. It was salvaged in 1992/3. You can clearly see the marine deposits on the surfaces.

From Madras (British India), here is a 10 cash coin from the Admiral Gardner:  The Admiral Gardner was a ship that sank in 1809, which was carrying many 10 and 20 cash coins. Only in the mid-1980s were the coins recovered.
