The mint mark,there all filled in. Maybe that's normal,just seemed different to me.

I thought that may be the question.

It is basically a small die chip. The tiny "post" on the die that creates the center of the D on the coin broke off the die and left a void in the design that filled with metal when struck. So, you can say it's a "filled" mintmark.

It's pretty common.

Die Chipping of the Mintmark are very common and it happens a lot.

More known for that year is the damaged mint mark punch on the lower serif:

This is not a chipping issue. A chipping issue on the die would leave a raised area on the coins.
