I'm retiring from acquiring! Please note my new temporary signature below...Good Stuff for collectors of 19th-century British and Canadian colonial exonumia.

Meanwhile, Old Sol beams brightly on this farthing token issued circa 1655-1665 by Edward Fish in the Middlesex hamlet of Wapping, which is now just another neighborhood in London, England.

Mr. Fish was probably a pewterer operating near the Sun Inn, and/or he might (also) have owned the tavern itself. Records are sketchy, to say the least.

The legends read: EDWARD. FISH. AT on the sunny side (obv.), with THE. SVNN. IN. WAPIN encircling the initials "EF" separated by a rosette.

Williamson, London 3296, 0.8g, about 16mm.

A one-penny token issued in 1811 by the Rose Copper Company of Birmingham in Warwickshire, England. Matthew Boulton was a part-owner so, unsurprisingly, this is where he obtained much of the copper used in his various minting projects.

The Withers catalog of British Copper Tokens: 1811-1820 lists fourteen different die varieties and pairings of this type, all dated 1811. I've managed to acquire eleven of them in my collection, with this example standing out as one of the top three, grade-wise.

Picked this one up at a coin show a couple of weeks ago. It was unattributed but I gambled on it. Found listings for 5 and 10 tokens from this establishment on tokencatalog, so I added this one.
M. C. Klare operated a saloon in Orange Grove, Texas in 1915 but prohibitionists voted to turn Wells County dry later that year. He may have been able to continue into 1916, but there are no records of his saloon after that year.

Interesting piece, Hondo, and I thank you for driving me to Google, as I'd never heard of the Ingle System before.
Of course I found this helpful NNP video for underinformed folks like me.
