Same boat! Stacks don't lie, dual sets and even front masts. One sided paddler? Oh, I see it!

I ordered my annual circulating ATB set and wanted to make the shipping charge hurt less so I bought a medal from the mint today. I will post it here when it arrives.

I saw this on ebay and thought it would neat to have. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any information on it. I even tried the TAM's website and all I found was the mention of the fifth annual assemblage to be held in Houston Texas on August 27th 1965 but no mention of the token. If anyone has any information specific to this token please let me know! Thank You for looking

I tried to look around for you Toot but I think the medal may simply speak for itself. The Token and Medal Society must have had a medal made for the ANA convention and made them available there in Houston in 1965. I like these Big Honkin Lucky Nickels if they are in good shape. I have two, I had others but they were so bad I moved them along. I am not sure when these were made, but I would guess sometime before 1950, I'm sure. The ones that simply say Souvenir of Such and Such city are more common when it comes to the Big Cities like Washington DC and Chicago but there are some obscure ones. I like the more commemorative ones like these but any with a nice Indian and or Buffalo in 2 1/2 inch or larger really grab me. There are also Lucky Penny's. These two are heavy metal and have a nice darkened patina. They are somewhat more common to find, but the condition is nicer than usual. Always on the "Look-out" for these if you get my joke. This one is on the way. Wealth, Health and Happiness with good luck charms. In the middle it is unclear where it is a souvenir from. I found another from Cincinnati Railroad Terminal or Station but this clearly a different die but very similar. I will just be surprised if I can read it when it arrives. Maybe it will be a good place? Will update.

Quote: I think the medal may simply speak for itself. Thank you TNG! I thought that as well but I didn't want to say it in case some one found something on it. I spent about an hour looking, still nothing. Nice lucky nickels! I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid.

You guys know I like my "Old West" medals and I have been gawking at this one long enough. I don't know how scarce it is but I do know that there is a correct and error version. So I got Wild Bill Hickok in the big Sterling Silver Longines Symphonette medal with the "Wounded Knee" medal reverse. It's the only one I have run across and I wanted a Hickok medal. I didn't want to kick myself for missing out on it later. Here it is, I will most likely hunt down the correct and the Wounded Knee to make a three medal set out of this but I better have this one first. Correct reverse looks like this ...

Very cool indeed TNG Question; is the scripting on the incorrect version originally intended for the reverse of another or different medal? Edit: scratch that as I just found it
