DEVLEC Pillar of the Community Canada 3234 Posts	Posted 12/22/2017 11:37 am Nice examples of the Inv 9 over 9 Type 2 showing here..so very tough to find.. Question for the die experts.. When looking at the Quad 9, which of the 4 9's gets struck first.. and where or when do the steps occur..ie: the master die or hub or just one of the many dies..? We see the 'lower inside plain' of the cent (the deepest part) and then we see 4 steps up to the high elevated last step showing ..and that last step is the first place to get rubbed off with wear. Maybe okie or SsuperDdave or someone else here can explain this to me ? I'm asking for an expert explanation of the above quad 9's because there is another interesting question to come depending on how this gets answered.. Thanks ... Report this Post to the Staff

The bad one was a January 2016 ebay buy that wasn't as good as it looked in the photo. Nice details but rough surfaces and digs and marks. OUCH $40. The second one is another $3 early 2000's coin that luckily I held on to. Look at all the die cracks on the second one. Report this Post to the Staff
