It's usually around March before I see any in Iowa.

It will be the end of January when we get Denver mint pennies in Los Angeles. By the end of February you're usually able to find all other denominations.

Philly mint anything is usually just complete luck and happenstance, and it'll take a year or more to find a P anything.

Saw some shiny cents in the "Take one, Leave one" dish at lunch. Shield side up. I was tempted to check them, but opted to not be "that guy" with people in line behind me.

I would have looked at them. I would have taken them and left other cents in their place.

If I had some change I would have, but I did not.

I guess that is a good read to keep some one me, right?

It's raining in Southern California... I guess that is news, right?

More seriously, it probably will be sometime in February before I see the 2018 Denver coins in my neck of the woods as per usual.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

So... Who thinks the cents will have the "P" mint mark this year? They surprised us with it last year and claimed it was a one-time thing. Will they surprise us again?

Supposedly it was a one-time thing for the 225th anniversary of the U.S. Mint. I haven't heard any news to the contrary at this point.

There were more than two and (again) I had no change to put in its place (I paid with plastic that day).

All I want to know is it going to be a banner year for major doubled dies? I still have trouble looking at the 2017's their so shiny they wear my eyes and patience quick. Here in Oregon unless I buy from ebay it will be April or early May before I see a 2018. No P mintmark this year, Uncle at the mint goes by their press release statements and beauracrats can't play with the regulations. I know I be an ex federal employee (God bless America and the civil service retirement system FERS and all).

I wish we had a bad boy Kurt Russell type who would make a bunch of extreme 2018 doubled dies like the 1955 and let about 5,000 slip through :) then I could find or buy one. Better yet grant me an apprentiship at the mint and I will make us all some goodies. I still get ticked when I read about mint director Eva Adams estate and the 1964 SMS sets some say she squirreled away for decades. Not mad at her, just mad I didn't get a crack at a whole set back in 1990 when they were a bargain.

I want a 2018 SMS 2017 mule with P mint mark, 170 degree reverse rotated die, and a triple die obverse with extreme class IV doubling on earlobe and beard. A tripled ear Lincoln. Is that asking too much?
