1983-D Lincoln - Over An S? Or Another D?

The mint mark on this one looks like it's over the tope of another mark, which had been rotated slightly differntly. I swear I see the curve of an S running through the D.

It looks as though the word GOD is stamped over something else with the G kinda broken.

Also the arches of the memorial building look awfully busy. I think I'm seeing outlines of people but I can't get them to focus very well.


Thoughts?

Looks like some split plating issues along with corrosion AKA Zinc rot.

area around MM looks sunken, like underneath is disappearing (rot).

It's not a double mint mark. The distorted metal is making it appear to be doubled.

The 'S' mint is a proof coin. So there is no way it could have been a D over S. The Denver mint makes their own dies.
