Very nice! Your son has a great eye! You must have taught him well!

Funny thing is I just started looking at coins this month.
and he was helping looking and sorting old coins from a kids bank.

Here's another one of my rare finds. It's a recent find from today. It's a 1984 P LMC with an Retained Cud (Die Break).

Edited: I wanted to add more pictures just so you can see it better.

I have found several that I would love to show, but some appear to be hiding from me in my less than organized coin room, lol.

Here's a few I was able to find to take pics.....

I'm sorry evan looking at the enlarged pictures I can't see some of the errors.
No wonder so many get passed around for years. Before a knowing eye sees it.

EV: The 1974 looks more like a struck through issue. It looks incuse on the images to me.

Coop, the glare from my images is probably the issue. It's actually a Retained Cud since it's connected to the rim. There's also another Die Crack right next to it. It's not incused, it's raised. I will get better pictures and post them.

It looks more like two die cracks. A Retained Cud would show a mis-alignment of the coins design. I'm not seeing that on your coin yet. Took a second look and now I see it.

Unless I'm missing this on your coin? The collar holds the die in place for a time until it breaks away from the die.
