Looks like a WDDO-001 to me from the pics not 100% but its defiantly not machine all you have to do is look at the bottom of the R or the notch in the bottom of the T and you can tell its not Machine Doubling very nice doubling good find

I think you have some die doubling and MDD as well on your half. I think using the doubling on the E of WE is good indicator for the 72D DDO-001, also a couple of good markers that I have on the two DDO-001's from my collection would be the die scratch north-south above the mintmark on the obverse and the north-south die scratch top left of the 3rd ray of the reverse, see photos.

Note: I think what you show on the profile of your half dollar would be MDD, and the photo from Wexler's site is misleading and looks like MDD also to me. My examples of the 72D DDO-001 don't show any doubling on the profile at all.

atrox is absolutely correct on this one and I agree with his findings. I do have Two examples of the 72 DDO-001 and both with no doubling on the profile, perhaps that was the only example Wexler had at the time and missed out on the profile being a MDD. No one's perfect I guess

piercethegrimes- Your 72-D is absolutely a DDO. The right leg of the R in Trust totally gives it away. ! Nice find indeed!

Very nice find and congratulations! You can definitely see that notch on the left leg of T in Liberty.
