Hey Guys, This nickel's reverse looked funny so I looked closer. It looks like it was sanded down. Check out the "bump" to the left of the dome. I'm new to nickels, so I don't know what this is. Please Help

In 1982 the dies were so stressed out they made a new reverse die. So there are 2 varieties of both P & D Jefferson business strikes. I think your nickel is just struck from a very late die state. It was not sanded. It is also a tougher date nickel to find if you had not already noticed.

There also appears to be an issue with a tilted die creating a fin on your coin. During circulation it it appears that it has flattened. Pretty much a normal coin now. If you could have found it with the full raised, then it would have been a keeper.
