With the 1993 Coin Fair Issue, unlike the standard bullion kangaroo coin, this special release featured interrupted milling on the edge and is the scarcer of the two. Since the coin packaging consisted of little more than a serial number printed on the card, some less savory characters have produced "fakes". These consist of a number stamped onto a normal card. Always ensure you check the milling before purchase.

Great news as my family (wife and I) added Aussie coins to our collections today! I managed to buy 4 PROOF Mob of Roos out of Kentucky! Really great prices on the 1987, 1991, 1994 and 1995!!! And, my wife's 2001 Centenary of the Federation ARRIVED today. What a unique set of coins and now a WHOLE set has been adopted and living in INDIANA!!! I can tell you right now they are as happy and safe as they can be and the PROUD parents are very pleased!

Well I can enjoy the Mob of Roos proofs any time I please but my wife has instructed me to REMEMBER the 2001 Centenary of the Federation set is HERS!!! Thats odd, as when I buy anything its always OURS? Honestly, I understand as the "Royal Ladies" in my Masterpieces is Silver are MINE!!! Really thrilled to have found Aussie coins in the last year, or should I say, we have really gone after them. Always had a few but really got hooked so we can say we now have an Aussie collection going. Thanks to rggoodie, lim118 and Bigfella I am broke but coin happy!!!

Looks like everything Aussie will be here for quite some time. I do hope I can manage to find the other proof Mob of Roos at decent prices. I see the 2000 and 2001 are really quite expensive already! It is my understanding there have been only 11 PROOF Mob or Roos decimal dollars made since 1984? Is that correct? I still must admit the 2002 Common Wealth Games $50 tri-metallic is the king of my Aussie collection at this time!

Have you seen the large Silver mob of Roos in the Masterpieces in Silver set of 2004? Although the mintage limit was 18,000 on this set it's actual release was 8,250 from the RAM reports.
11? Have you counted 2006?

Thanks for the list toast! No I didn't count the 2006 so I will have to look for it while it is still affordable. I have all the dollar coins and every mint mark from 2002 so I decided to go after the Mob of Roos proofs and then, and only then, go after the other commemorative dollars. I have one silver Mob of Roos but I think it is a 1990! Be a great set if I ever get them all!

Terry..there is no Mob of Roos for 2001. Toast is correct. The crown sized silver mob of roos from the 2004 MIS is the big daddy of them all....

Thanks guys! I have made my initial bid on the auction for the silver one! I will try to post a list of the proof Mob of Roos I am looking for in the next few days. Still shocked over the prices of the 2006, 2000 and 2004 (I think) so you guys keep a close eye out for a GOOD buy!
