evenly matched in VF-XF.

Yes, evenly matched is the key for me. I don't need to see or have the Mint State details. I just need to see that it's a beautiful coin.

In my 7070, I currently have an 1893 Columbian Exposition half dollar (about VF-35), 1952 Washington-Carver half dollar (AU-58 or low MS), an empty space (currently I'm looking for a nice uncirculated example of an early commemorative), and a 1982 George Washington half dollar.

My thinking was two classic ones and two modern ones for my 7070 album.

How many different half dollar commemoratives are there to choose from? I went to Numista and typed in "50 cent United States commemorative" and only 8 matches came up.
Where's a good place to go to see pictures of what's available so I could compare and decide which ones I want to include in my 7070.

Great and very timely thread!

chafemasterj- There are a bunch, many more then eight plus gold ones. Do you have a RedBook? That's a good place to start.

Or some of these:

Thanks USSID18. I'm going to order myself a used RedBook tonight on ebay. I've wished I had one more than once so it's time.

Can't argue with that kena! Will you keep your album that way or modify/change your commemoratives?
