I really like the design of this coin and thought I would share this coin with everyone. What are some of your favorite commemorative Half Dollars? *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

That is a beautiful example with nice light toning. I also like the Lexington and Oregon Trail halves although there are many others nice designs.

I moved your post to the appropriate section for the proper attention. You can probably tell my favorite commemorative half by my avatar.

My favorite would probably be Stone Mountain or Lexington. I do like the pilgrim a lot though as it's one of the few US coins with a ship on it

I've always liked the Illinois Centennial for the Lincoln portrait. I think that Morgan did a good job of replicating in profile the head of O'Connor's statue of Lincoln. The statue supposedly represents Lincoln as he departed from Illinois on his way to the White House, but Morgan's profile looks to me like a man who knows the weight of the world will soon be on his shoulders. The eagle on the reverse is nice as well.

Muddler, BadDog nice coins!! I have a Stone Mountain half as well but unfortunately it appears to be dipped. Really like the Texas Centennial half dollar as well. I may be on the lookout for one in the near future.

For me it has always been the Connecticut with that magnificent Charter Oak.

to this forum - and congratulations on your lovely Pilgrim half. Over the years there have been several CCF polls on 'favorite classic silver commemorative' ... I'm still going with the amazing 1926 - 1939 Oregon Trail half dollar by the amazing design team of the Frasers. I have certified examples from VG08 to MS66 - lovely indeed David
