Coins at that level are impossible to grade from pictures alone. While maybe that should be a 66 or 66 plus you can take it to the bank that it's not a 63 or anything like that

Believe this is the same coin. In a DIFFERENT NGC slab (same grade). The toning on this particular coin is rather unique.

Tbh the better quality photos from Heritage Auctions kind of confirms My Ms64 at best opinion.

A quite long albeit very light scratch extending from the center of the neck profile to about the center of the cheek, more additional chatter on the cheek, two light marks in front of liberty's chin and a sizable carbon spot at the 7 'o clock area on the reverse.

There's no spot on it that's on the slab hence it leaves a shadow and looks like it's floating. As for marks or scratches grading is done at 5-10x. If you have to magnify past thaf to see it it's irrelevant. It looks very clean in the full slab shot, the super magnified either need to be ignored or people need to remember they're looking at something with what would be equal to like 50x or greater magnification and learn to ignore small things completely. There's no chance that's a low ms coin, low ms are baggy or have luster issues

Sure looks like soft detail on the LIBERTY band and the hair below. MS67 should require a sharp strike throughout. The assigned grade does seem generous.

I agree with what You're saying about the zoom level for grading, but those photos appear to be no where near 50x. I would say at the level of magnification on the photo that its still within the limit.

As for the scratch on liberty's profile, that knocks it down to a Ms65 and the light chatter on the cheek and reverse carbon spot puts it down to a Ms64 IMO.

This coin is definitely not MS-67. Looking at the obverse, the profile of Liberty has quite a few bag marks. The reverse scratch near ONE DIME is quite large and distracting. I believe that this is one of the few times that the TPG was incorrect. I think this coin should grade between MS-63 and MS-65.
