I'm curios about this penny as it has a "pimple" to the right of Lincoln's nose. Any suggestions as to what it is?

Thanks.

My guess would be an isolated plating bubble caused by debris trapped between the zinc core and the copper plating.

Put some Clearacil on it. LOL Probably plated over some dust on the zinc planchet. Not a plus, just a distraction.
Rest in Peace

Pop it away from you...really, the zinc rot dust is a slight toxin

Looks to me as a speck of debris (hard) was trapped under the copper plating and not a (soft) trapped gas bubble.
