Nice coins. I have some of these. Good price too - hopefully they stay clear of the dreaded milk spots that the RCM is famous for.

Milk already starting to show on most of the faces.

I thought the price was not too high considering I had seen offerings on ebay for upto NZD$51. Although not being a collector of those I would have only paid max 4% over spot.

The RCM and it's attitude towards milk spots (which recently finally may have seemed to change) is why I do not buy silver Maple Leafs anymore (unless I get them for a good % under spot). If I could do a straight trade on all my maples for Kookaburra's I would do it in a heartbeat.

I would not mind a bulk lot of maples under spot - a good buy IMO for silver content only.

The 2018 1oz Kookaburra is a certainly a very nice coin from the Perth Mint but highly priced.

Premiums on Kookaburra's are higher than maples(but not so bad especially if picked up right on release). Never any milk spot issues to date and they really tend to pick up a bit of semi-numismatic value as the years go on. Maples on the other hand don't - mintages are far higher and the only ones that really have increased in value over spot are a few years in the 90's when mintages were a bit lower.
