I am a bank teller in Cincinnati. I keep everything out that I find for customers. I will give out half dollars, wheat pennies, small face dollars, Barr dollars and anything else neat. Occasionally I will get a parent that brings their kid and they will seem interested in coins that I have. Once in awhile I will actually give out my year or 2 year old Red Books out to those that are interested in collecting as well.
I almost have 1000 dollar coins to send back which most of them are unsearched except counted for $25.
Geez I even have a 16 year old non customer that orders a box of halves like every week. I only ask that he doesn't give them back to us cause then our shipping service will not ship extra boxes for us.
doesn't bother me. I know what I am looking for and pick them out for customers/non customers to look at or buy. Only takes a few moments to do that.
Best thing to do is to find a local bank teller and befriend them. They will put things off to the side and wait for you to come in.
Totally worth it.

That's a nice score there, TJ! I don't search halves, but I'm pretty sure those Franklins are not easy to come by nowadays.

KurrencyKen I was more suprised with the Franklin Only my second one in my collection. Hoxsie454 It's fun because when they have something and see me they wave me over to their line.
I am more surprised more bank employees don't trade out the good stuff before we get there.
