Appears to be a Bisecting Rim to Rim Die Crack at the Letters "One Cent" on the Reverse or is it considered another Category? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Very nice find! I think you have a Retained Cud because I see the separation of that retained piece that moved a little bit. Pretty neat!

It is a retained Die Cud. Held in place by the collar. Probably will strike many more coins with the same issue until the operator notices it. Obverse Cuds just fall out.

The area in question maybe loose, but hasn't broken off the bottom part of the die. It eventually will it is continued to be used.

oy, that's a cool find, but I see more to your coin.

have a closer look at Lincoln's neck, front & back, and his breast where the lapels are, just under the bowtie, examine the polishing marks & get a bead on how it's been scrubbed (the die) by noticing the die scratches, polishing marks. and, notice the Y in LIBERTY is very thin. I only noticed this on your coin because I found an '83 Lincoln with thin-neck issues, and a thin Y, from an overpolished die. I posted last week about it, talked with coop about it.

this is the cent I found & posted about last week, but no cool break, crack or Cud on the reverse, just the overpolished neck & Y.

Check out this link on Retained Cuds. One of the most extremely impressive Retained Cuds is on a 1983 Lincoln Cent.

Very nice find PerfectError. A Bisecting Rim to Rim Die Crack would have to come close to equally dividing the face of the coin.
