So I went to the sale page for you, for the coin you are looking at, downloaded the image, and brightened it a bit. Not a great coin, worth about the $25, because of the state and you are asking if real or fake without taking into account the third category of contemporary ancient not produced by the normal people in the normal way. Which opens up the contemporary counterfeit or some traveling army just making something fast for whatever reason and not well. Some encrustation would be nice to see for age but this looks overcleaned as well. So my humble vote is for ancient (not seeing the edge mind you) but might not be made by Rome. Even if not, if ancient and of an important emperor, it is worth about the $25. Not very much more at all in my opinion. If you bid let someone else outbid you and you will feel better the next day. All just my opinion of course. Oh, and that sharp image of the outline of Nerva on an otherwise weak coin? Could be modern tooled for effect by someone as well to make that stand out to sell it. Notice the gouge around the emperor but the hair tie is weak which would not make sense. And the gouge so separate the hands as they clasp. Tooled looks like that, badly tooled not by a person worried about how each coin comes out just moving fast. Again my opinion.

, looks genuine, but over-cleaned and a bit tooled.

Looks genuine to me
But I suspect it has undergone electrolysis and then been chemically darkened leaving it in a rather "worse for wear" condition.
Not a terrible pick up at 25 clams but for an extra 20 or so you might find a more pleasing albeit worn example.
Patience is the most important quality in scrounging around for ancients
With very very few exceptions there are thousands of similar coins waiting to find good homes.
The electrolysis possibility would be a big turn off to many collectors and might explain the very reasonable price
