It's good to see you back, Jack!

In my opinion, the obverse would grade G4, but the reverse is an AG3 with the missing lettering. I would give the coin an overall grade of AG3.

Hi,

In Australia I would grade the coin as "VG".

Which at the bottom of the grading scale. Can I ask what AG3 stands for?
Rest in Peace

AG3 Stands for "about good" and 3 is the number on the 70 point grading scale that is used here. It is near the bottom of the grading scale here as well with F1 and F2 being lower. F stands for "fair" and 1 and 2 are again numbers from the 70 point scale. These are normally used to describe a coin that is capable of being identified only as to its type. The link below descibes the common grades used in the U.S. Mike

No problem KLD! I have a copy of the Australian grading terms thanks to Lim and Richard. I agree they are very similar. Have a Happy New year!!! Mike
