Mike was MFH on CU forums and "elbesaar" on ebay (named for his two pups at the time) and my username there and ebay were different. So we were competing for the same coins being sold by a famous circulated Barber half guru who shall remain anonymous, but anyone can recognize his classic scanner presentation. We were about 6 months into it before we realized who each other was, and according to Mike, spewed Jamieson whiskey through his nostrils at the revelation. I don't have any from 1892 of his in my archives or competing coins, but will post some with short anecdotes. Those were the days before ebay usernames were anonymous to other bidders, where shady sellers could use negative feedback extortion after baiting/switching coins or doctoring photographs, sniping was usually done manually, and other unimaginable fun activities involved with rolling the dice on ebay coins.

Beautiful coins so far, keep them rolling! Mine will be ugly circulated VG-XF coins, so having some true condition rare PO1s from nickelsearcher, and MS and toned coins hopefully will build a monument to Mike's passion for all Barbers in all grades. I remember his AU58 halves and album of toned dimes the most, but there were other standouts as well.

Dang it, I already missed a day, but am glad to start us off with the '93s.

Here is one that Mike outbid me on - it would be a LONG time before I would find a 93S above VG8
