Let's keep it on the west coast! Here is an elongated cent from the Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institute:

Here's is a bit of history that's also interesting as a very early example of a two-sided elongated. Within a mere seven weeks after McKinley succumbed to his wound (which had become gangreous), his assassin had been tried, convicted (the jury deliberated for half an hour), sentenced to death, and executed by means of what was then a newfangled method, the electric chair. William McKinley, supported (if not handpicked) by powerful business interests on the basis that he would be disinclined to interfere in any meaningful way with their rapacious brand of capitalism, was elected president in 1896, His milquetoast vice-president, Garret Hobart, died in late 1899, leaving a vacancy on the ticket for the approaching 1900 election. The new vice-presidential nominee, who was the governor of New York as well as an up and comer in the party, was chosen partly for his popularity and energenic campaigning style (both of which would serve to bolster McKinley's candidacy), but also to exclude him from exercising any meaningful power. His unexpected ascension to the presidency put all those carefully calculated machinations to ruin. That man was Theodore Roosevelt.
