Here is one with the copper skin missing. it was pointed out to me that it probably is a dime on another forum not being a coin collector and looking at some pocket change it probably is.

With such a great looking reverse, clear and not smeared Some would say that it being on a coin from the time period it adds value to it. Also it might a meant a good deal to the person that ran it through the press they might have carried the coin during that time and pressed it as a family heirloom. But as the younguns today do not value family relics as much as the older generations do it is just a source of revenue for the young generation. Or so it seems from the items coming to the LCS as the older ones move on to the great beyond

Quote: would the person who did this to a survivor of the war please own up? No outrage from this quarter. If you scan earlier entries of mine in this thread, on quite a few occasions I've pressed older coins that this, my criterion being that the condition be such that they're never on their own going to be anything but "junk bin" fare, and my impression is that this 1942 half penny was pretty well worn.

haha no outrage at all on my end too, i'd said that in jest. I was just wondering what machine could have accepted an old 1/2d in 1988. Seems to be a few other such tokens out there too.
