Very neat! I used to have one of those on a cent, but hadn't seen it in several years.

Are there any books on elongated coins that cover the ones made in the 1980's and 1990's ? The Martin and Dow book "Yesterday's Elongateds" has a 1981 copyright so I'm guessing that's as late as it covers. I bought a lot of about 45 elongated political coins at an auction and out of about 35 designs, I could only find 5 or 6 listed on ebay in active and sold listings. I even searched Google and only found another 1 or 2 that I have. The lot has mostly a bunch of different Ronald Regan elongated coins that are "Regan for President", Regan Inaugurated", "Regan Shot By Hinkley" and "Regan 40th President" and some are for the same thing but totally different designs. Plus there are "Gerald Ford Grants Nixon Full Pardon" rolled on a penny, nickel and Dime. Republican and Democratic National Convention elongates from 1988. A few other Gerald Ford elongates and a Dukakis for President elongate. A "1976 Carter" elongate, 1972 McGovern -Shirver elongete, 1976 Carter - Mondale, and 1976 Ford - Dole to name a few. There are also several wooden nickels in the lot too that are really cool. Just wondering if there's any book covering the slightly later elongated coins that might give more info on them or if mintage records were kept? Once I get some of them photographed, I'll try to post a few pictures.
