Yes, that's a die chip. Die chips usually don't carry any extra value.

Very nice find and congratulations! That is a Die Chip. Die Chips that are this big do carry a small premium over face value. You could get a couple of bucks out of this.

How does it get to look like that?  Probably the same die. The video is of a 2008 plain cent.

So is a chip the same as interior die break? Does it depend on size or are they one in the same?

No, the sizes are different. In order to be considered a Die Break, it has to be 4mm in size. Anything smaller than that is considered a Die Chip.
