@petrus, yes good point. One thing that I find interesting about this thread as we start to move back past the 19th Century is that many of us seem to have picked up many of the same coins from similar dates. In my own world coin collection, I have actively tried to avoid picking up duplicate dates and yet somehow I have three 1 Shilling coins (pics of one of them below) and one 4 Shilling coin all from Hamburg minted in the single year 1727 AD. On the coin that I post tomorrow, you will see that while the denomination has changed, the issuer hasn't. Perhaps we are all somewhat focused on the small silver and copper coins of the years? Not sure exactly. @t360, on the other hand, the coins that you have been posting have been considerably different from many of ours. Deeper pockets? More of a French-focus than a date-focus?
