Alas, this day came unexpectedly, and I did not have time to take better photos. So I'll just post whatever pics I already had.  Poland-Lithuania, Sigismund II 1 denar 1556, Danzig (Gdansk) mint Yeah, it's pretty chipped; in fact, IIRC, it had chipped a bit further since I bought it. Also, while I sadly don't recall the exact size offhand... that thing's rather tiny.

@jan1may, that Gdansk denar looks to be struck more sharply than mine for 1555 which is posted below. Not sure if yours has a defective planchet, or chipping after minting. I see many denars from this reign with very irregular shapes. Since you mentioned the very small size I have included a reference with our smallest current U.S. circulating coin.

Forgot to post this yesterday Hans Schultes I: about 1556 Hans Zwingel says: Nuremberg 'Rechen meister' Jeton of Hans Zwingel. [These are also known as School pennies] Obv; Rechenmeister sat at his counting table head turned right, jetons one side and counting grid the other. Rosette either side of table legs. Rev; ABCDE FGHIK LMNOP QRSTV XYZ within double banded square. The letter J did not exist in the alphabet at this time. Obv. Rechenmeister seated facing, at his counting table Rev. Alphabet arranged in lines (unframed, square frame, circular frame) These were made by the families Schultes, Zwingel, Koch, Krauwinckel Mitchiner, Jetons, Medalets & Tokens Vol. 1
